Since there was such a positive response from the last weekend giveaway, I'm hosting another one. This is a card I purchased at a Japanese store. What drew me to the card was that it folds into an open box (picture below). I hope you will find this card as charming as I do.
To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment telling me what you will do with the card, give it away, keep it for yourself? One entry per household. Please leave an email address so I can contact you if you win. Contest ends Monday, February 1, 2010. I'll announce the winner Tuesday on this post and email them. If I do not hear back from the winner after two weeks, I will choose a new winner. International friends welcome :)

oh my goodness that is so cute! I have a perfect little place on top of my fireplace that this would fit perfectly. I love japanese stationary and love to display it in that little place! I'd just keep that card there forever!
I love it, and want to keep it, but I am a chemo angel and send cards to a chemo patient who has breast cancer, so, it will go to her. Thanks for considering me. My e-mail is
denisejo126@yahoo.com
That's so cute! I would take some close up pictures of it, trying to capture the layers etc. for myself, and then either send it to a friend or, if I can, auction it off in the next round of the help_haiti community on Livejournal (all proceeds go to charities to help Haiti).
Thanks!

I would put it on my new desk to brighten my days :)
Cute! I would give it to my friend whose birthday is coming up. :)
Very cute!! I'd love to send this to my daughter in law who lived in Japan for a year. She and my son are very tied to their computers so I'd like to show her how much fun real mail can be!
I have a baby on the way and lately I've been thinking a lot about her nursery. I think this would be so sweet in it, especially with that earnest message.
sooo sweet,I am a pre-school teacher and would set it up on a small table at work with some little wooden trees and hand felted animals.I know the children would love it!They really enjoy playing with small things like this!
That is so cute! I would build a shadow box for it to hang in my bunny room (I have a room that houses 6 bunnies inside).

This card is darling; I love it so much and would definitely keep it for my self (selfish, I know)! I'd set it up, right beside our pet fish Uther Pendragon, on the long wall shelf we have in our living room!
If I win I will keep it as a birthday card to myself (Feb 2nd) and try to figure out how the card is made. I love new craft challenges... lauraburke1@comcast.net

This is an adorable little piece of Japanese awesome-ness! I would probably give it to my recently engaged best friend when she gets married. It seems like a fitting occasion:)
Thanks!

It would be very hard to give it away but I have a close friend that gave me her sizzix. I am on disability and could not afford it. This could let her know that I was thinking of her and wanted to give her something special.
id give this to a friend to cheer them up!

I love, love, love it!! I'd send it to a friend!! So lovely!
Boy, it's a toss-up ... but I'd give the card to my sister to celebrate her new house. Both she and my brother have recently bought homes, but I think she'd appreciate it more! Especially the adorable bunny! Thanks always for the chance to win!

Tempting to keep but I probably couldn't. This would probably better serve to send to an old friend. Thanks for the opportunity!
I love the card. I'd probably use it as a craft project with my daughter - it looks like fun.

this would go to my dear 12 year old daughter. First,it's what i wish to my kids. simple. straightforward.
Second, I had the pleasure of sending her to Japan when she was just 11(she's almost 13) for a school trip, and I think it would make her think of the amazing time she had in Japan, and especially the little children she taught English! (for example, I eat all my own boogers, she taught to her host family's five year old!)
and third, she collects cards she has gotten over her entire life.
i have 3 kids so pretty stuff like that will defenatly stay in the house. but not for play. i would put it on a shelf that i am planing to hang above my 2.9 year old son. right now i am colecting stuf for his shelf so that would be wonderfull!
thanks!
Ofcourse i want to join. I would like to give the card to my two daugters and explain the englisch text. And hope that everytime they read the message they will remember my wish for them.
XO Heidi
Oh it's so cute!
Today my blog reached de 100 followers, so I would like to do a giveaway with him in gratitude :)

This is cute! If it had an open bottom I would use it as a 'stage' for some teeny tiny finger puppets! If not then it would just look pretty sitting in my craft room :)
cute* keep it for my greedypig self!
I am a teacher in an alternative high school. I would give this card to a graduating senior who has worked extra hard to graduate.
I would give it away but, before, I try to do one as this for myself.

Adorable! but is it just me who finds the message a tad depressing? If I could alter the message without ruining the card, then I'd gift this. Otherwise, I was thinking it would be cute in the office to store post-its or small clips on desk.
Thank you!

What a sweet card. I would like to think I would send it to a friend, but in all honesty, I know I would keep it and display it on my shelf.
The sweet message is a great reminder to be happy in your life and enjoy what you have.
hey! I love your valentine idea in the previous post! genius! :)
anyway, if i was lucky enough to win the card, i would selfishly keep it for myself. it would look very nice in my drab cubicle. :)
Oh, thank you so much for this giveaway. I'm pretty sure I'll keep this for myself (if I win), it is so cute.
Greetings from Germany, Sina
Even if I don't win the prize, I will try my hand at making a replication using my own illustrative style and an ocean theme, then send to my dear friend in HI who's love for dolphins led her to the life she now lives :) Lovely inspiration! {jendoe@me.com}
awww. love it! and love your blog :P
oh, and i'd probably keep the card for a while and get my fill of it, then pass it on to someone who would enjoy it as much as i did!
If I won the card, I would mail it to a friend in Delaware who has been down as of late.
Very cute! I would share it with my daughter - I know she would treasure it.
I love this card! I'll put in my baby girl's room for decoration!
Thanks,

I would send it to my boyfriend. We each take turns sending each other bigger and more awesome cards!
So adorable.

Oh i miss the japanese dollar store! I moved recently from seattle back to the east coast and i miss the great note cards I could find there. This would be lovely to have!
I think I would have this grace my daughter's room for awhile, then send it off to someone special :)
I´m sorry if I sound selfish but I would keep it to myself! I´m an origami fan and lover of all things japanese, which where I live are impossible to find so that´s what I would do if I win! (fingers crossed!)
Thanks!
I'd keep it! It would be just perfect on my bookshelves beside my easy chair, where I'd enjoy the little scene and dream of visiting Japan one day, someday...
Sorry it is to cute to give away ;o))
But wait my oldest daughter will turn 16 in march.
She will love it.....
Love,
Maureen

I would give this card with my gift for my best friend's wedding that's coming up in August. Since her and her fiance are currently looking for a house, and the message says "I wish you are happy in your life", it seems like the card would fit perfectly :)
Btw, I love your blog! Your level of creativity is an inspiration :)

I'd like to get that card and send it to my sister who's beginning college! She's been a bit down about it, and she loves cute cards so maybe this would brighten her winter blues. :)
I will probably keep the card for myself for a while and then send it onto my sister as a nice surprise. scherne72@yahoo.com
