Craft: Origami Paper Ring

What's this? An actual craft on my site? You probably forgot what they look like here. I know I have. Well, I finally started getting back into creating craft tutorials. Today I'm making a basic origami ring out of metallic crepe paper. Directions below.

Supplies:
10cm piece of paper - I used metallic crepe paper
Scissors
Tape

Click on the image for a better view. Step 7 is the trickiest part of the ring. It's hard to show with the illustrations but you're basically creating a balloon base fold in steps 7 - 9.


Experiment with unique paper textures to get different looks.

The Color Of. . .

I recently discovered the site The Color Of via Sweet Tidings and had to share. The site's purpose is to answer what the color of something is an objective way. You just type in a word and The Color Of will pull images from Flickr and layer them into a textured color. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Last week I was in Legoland with my family. Sorry, I didn't tell you guys but I'm a little uncomfortable with announcing that I'll be away from my house for a week.

Only picture from vacation with me and both my kids. Now moms or dads, tell me, does anyone else suffer from this problem? After looking at the pictures, it appears my kids went on a vacation by themselves. I don't even have one picture with all four of us together!
