Book Review: Felt Furnishings

Felt Furnishings: 25 Accessories for Contemporary Homes
By Anne Kyyro Quinn

Have you seen the new book Felt Furnishings by Anne Kyyro Quinn? It's filled with 25 projects for the home such as throws, pillows, curtains , and lamp shades. The chapters are broken down as gathers + ruches, pleats + folds, appliques + cutouts, strips + slices, and basics. All the designs play on shape and texture leaving the sewing projects looking very clean and contemporary. And even though each project has a sophisticated look, they are quite simple to make. Pictures of some of the projects below.

When I saw this felt vase I instantly thought it would be a nice gift for Mother' s Day. Agree?

i like the lamp shade. The books looks interesting, I like contemporary design. That's my usual design concept in houses when i work on plans. This book might be of a good use for me.

I like the clean lines and modern look of the designs, looks like they can go with any interior style. I especially like the Box Pleat Throw, subtle yet effective, I can picture it in a traditional or contemporary home. I wonder if the library carries this book. Thanks Jessica!

Yes it's a pillow. When I saw that pillow, I knew it was going to be a good book.
