Christmas Card Bookmarks
Here's another use for all those old Christmas Cards you've saved. The card I used above was a Birthday Card but you can use any kind. If you really wanted to get into the re-purposing spirit you could use the bookmarks for Christmas gift tags. Directions below.
Supplies
old cards (no writing on the back)
embroidery thread
small hole punch
sewing needle
1. Cut card into a long rectangle.
2. Punch holes all around the card.
3. With the embroidery thread, blanket stitch all around the book mark (Start at top center). Tie a knot at the top.
4. Add a few extra strands of yarn at the top for a tassel effect. Done
*for blanket stitch refer to the "Christmas Card Luminaries" Craft below

where do you come up with all these great and never cheesy crafts? I love them!
I like the works you have presented on your blog. Well done! They are all beautiful. The Christmas Card Bookmark is an excellent idea for this Christmas.
Thank you!

i kind of like the idea of keeping the writing on the back - if the writing is from someone special like a grandma who has passed away, etc.
Fabulous idea for recycling those cards.
