Washi Paper Gift Tags

These little gift tags were made out of all my scraps from various projects. The card itself was made out of Christmas boxes that I cut up. This is a great little project to get rid of those scraps you don't want to throw away but don't know what to with. Directions below

Supplies
cardboard or card stock 4 1/4" by 2 1/2"
colored card stock of your choice
embroidery floss
washi paper, any paper with a print will do
mizuhiki cord, on small cording
white glue
hot glue gun
Cut washi paper into a 1 1/2" by 1 1/4" rectangle
fold accordion style

Make a slip knot in the center of the fan, fray the embroidery thread after

Glue center of fan together

Assembling the card
1. Glue a ripped piece of card stock to the card with white glue
2. Shape the mizuhiki card into a "S" shape
3. Hot glue the the mizuhiki cord into the center of the card, add the fan on top
Done

Happy new year!

It is impression on craft that values the tradition of Japan more
than the Japanese.
It is a coincidence. I also made the bag of the celebration
chopsticks with Washi for the first time this year.
