Fruit Rolls - any brand should work as long as the fruit roll is not too thick. I chose the one above because everything else was either rainbow colored or had images printed on it.
Circle cookie cutter - you could also use cooking scissors to cut the circles out
Cut out five fruit roll circles.
Wrap a second circle around the cone. Bend the petal back so it fans out.
Add a third circle on the opposite side of where you placed the second circle. Continue to pinch the bottom of the rose so it stays together.Roll one circle into a cone shape, pinching the bottom, so it will stay closed. This will be the center of the rose.
Wrap a second circle around the cone. Bend the petal back so it fans out.
You will now see the rose start to form. Add another circle or two overlapping the other petals.
Thanks. These are a gorgeous way to give fruit leather. I have stumbled this for you too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea. So pretty too. x
ReplyDeleteOh, how precious! I have to do this!
ReplyDeleteHow simple and unexpected! Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeletei also make clay roses but I do it the "lazier" way *lol* i don't cut up circles but simply make a long strip stretch then press thumb on top portion to resemble petals then roll it to form like a rose. =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous way to play with your food. Much better than flinging it willy nilly.
ReplyDeleteI am not believing it........these are AMAZING! I can't wait to try it....my daughter still LOVES tea parties :-)

ReplyDeleteAt first glance I thought you were using pepperoni's. I guess it's just cause I've worked at a pizza chain for 10 years. Now I can't wait to get back to work LOL
