Every year I face the dilemma of what to do with all the Halloween candy. I always feel too guilty to throw it away. I try to incorporate it into recipes but instead end up eating a lot of it. So to combat the problem, I've rounded up 10 DIY projects for leftover Halloween candy plus one candy wrapper project.

our local homeless shelter welcomes donations of any kind of FOOD....and this year sent out a plea for candy that might just be thrown out....
that's why we really don't get candies and chocolates =) we usually attend a halloween/birthday party so we're not home the whole night =P
Jessica, thank you so much for the lovely comment on my blog! Your kind words mean a lot to me.
Great round up of candy projects! I did a Christmas tree decor similar to the candy leis. I used colorful hard candy and saranwrap with bits of leftover yarn. The end result looks like a mini wreath that can be put through the tree branch.
Today a coworker of mine shared the tip of saving leftover Halloween candy for gingerbread houses at Christmastime. Save brightly colored candies, lollipops for trees, etc. and you're a step ahead!
Cara,
Excellent tip!
We put our candy in a big jar and make goodie bags when we go to the movies all year!
Love this post! Such great ideas!
