Silly Sticky Notes Giveaway

For today's contest I picked out these silly sticky notes on a stick. The inside of the sticky notes is a faded version of the faces. Apparently they come on a stick so you can keep them with your pencil container (refer to top right corner of packaging).

To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment telling me the strangest thing you've ever purchased. One entry per household. Please leave an email address so I can contact you if you win. The last day to enter the contest is Monday, February 15, 2010. I'll announce the winner Tuesday on this post and email them. If I do not hear back from the winner after two weeks, I will choose a new winner. International friends welcome :)

Contest Closed

Congratulations to Pretty Crafty Thang who is the winner of the giveaway.

Thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway. It was a lot of fun reading about the funny items you purchased.

One time I bought a sweater that had little toy cars glued all over it. Not sure what I thought I was going to do with it but it was so funny I couldn't just leave it there!

A crazee faucet. The 90s equivalent to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Funny-Phony-Faucet-Suction-Cup_W0QQitemZ140382271178QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20100210?IMSfp=TL100210151016r38637

"Stick it on the TV, on a car window, or even your forehead!"

The kitsch only made it more hilarious.

A fairy wand. A pink, glittery, boa-trimmed, makes-a-schwing-sound-when-you-swing-it, lights-up-in-a-hypnotic-beat fairy wand. I don't know why I bought it except that its very flamboyance completely overshadowed any actual practical use for the thing. I swung it around so much, in fact, that I need to replace the batteries since it croaks more than schwings now. I'd made the decision to give it to my 4-year old twin nieces except I feared the tomboy would steal it from the princess and hit her with it. I'll wait until my 2-year old niece is old enough and give it to her with new batteries when I've stopped trying to grant my friends' wishes with it!

These looks a lot like my husband and I so I have to enter.

I bought a fuzzy pink hot water bottle cover in the shape of an elephant at a thrift store to go over my fish shaped hot water bottle. I still love them both.

A rubber chicken that lays an egg when you squeeze it. My kids just had to have it!

The strangest thing I purchased was a cart full of toilet paper and tampons at Walgreens. They were having a sale and you had to buy a certian amount to get a rebate-you know the drill. My cart was overflowing with these 2 items-it doesn't help that Walgreens carts are small. Quite embarrassing!

A large 20" curved wooden circular box thingy without a top or bottom. I have no idea what it is, or what you do with it. I just like it and hung it on the wall in the stair way going into the garage. My husband keeps wanting to know what it is and why we have it. I just like it.

Hmmmm... chocolate covered bacon?

I think the sticks are hilarious. Cool idea to keep them in the pencil cup, though. I thought they were on a stick because they were "stick"y notes, get it?!

These notes are sooo cute! And the stick for the pencil cup is a great idea.

The strangest thing I have ever purchased was probably Octopus street meat in Japan or a smiley face ashtray ... and I don't smoke HAHA

Also, thought I would let you know that today is the last day to enter a giveaway on my blog, too :) http://hurraykimmay.blogspot.com/2010/02/suches-crafts-interview-and-giveaway.html

Happy Valentine's Day!

A box of old photos of some other person's family. I love old photos and it makes me sad when they are being sold. It's like buying new family members. I love them :)

I often buy music based on what the cover looks like - I haven't even listened to it, just like the arty cover. I've actually had some goodies this way, but some real AWFUL ones have found their way into my stereo too!

Wow, those are really cute! Ok, for a joke, I purchased one of those pig keychains. You press the pig and it looks like poop is coming out. Silly!

What a fun question!
I bought some sausage at our Russian grocery store that, roughly translated, is called "Alex meat". It was funny because I have a son named Alex and the lady at the deli counter was pretending it was meat made of him. ;)

This one is difficult... I´m sure I have a lot of things to tell you about, for now what comes to my mind is a fly killer racquet, I´m not fond of it since I believe it´s politically incorrect but I must admit it´s very useful!
Thanks you are having the greatest giveaways!

I have a few strange things, I think. If I was picking one I'd say a lifesize cut of of the cast of Star Trek. They are classic in my movie-watching room LOL.

A massage ring. It looks like a mini slinky and you roll it up and down your finger to massage it while it looks like funky jewellery!

I was reading the comments and sadly I have purchased many of those things too. The top two that I bought and never used were Bacon salt - yes it tastes like bacon and granola bars. The granola bars were on sale for $1.00 and I had coupons for $1.50 off. They paid me to take them. That was 3 years ago and I still have about a dozen boxes I can't convince my kids to eat.

Ok, clearly I don't buy enough silly/weird/interesting things. Does buying a "cup" for your 5 year old to wear during a karate tournament count? That was hands-down the most difficult purchase I've ever made!

A belly button lint cleaner! It looked a lot like a super miniature toilet bowl brush!!!

Ho boy! I really have to think about this one because I don't buy unusual things. I did once buy my dog a Christmas collar that had lights - I think he even felt silly. (micheletimms@gmail.com)

I guess the one thing I bought that I thought was weird was gummies that looked like band-aids. I used them to make gummy sushi. It was lots of fun. But really, gummy band-aids!!!
