How to Make Powdered Sugar

My Aunt Susan (same Aunt that made the transformer cake) told me about this tip. Too many times I've ran out of powdered sugar and used granulated sugar in it's place. If I had only known, all I had to do was blend the sugar for a couple of seconds. I could have avoided a lot of frosting disasters.

*I decided to make this video with my camera. It's the first video I've ever made so please excuse the poor quality. It was a little bit of a challenge holding the camera in one hand and making the sugar in the other hand while talking at the same time.

If you wanted it just like
powder sugar add a little
bit of corn starch. The companies
add cornstarch so that the
powder sugar does not stick
together, and it does make
a differnce in the texture and
the way that the Icing turns out.

Great tip! I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever in the middle of a recipe and run out of powdered sugar.

What food processor do you have? It is very cute.

awesome! THank you for stopping by my blog. I like the new look of your blog. I made one of your crown and ring sets for a niece -- the stretchiness of the ring is a very nice feature.
