Crafting with Bottle Labels

Last week I came across some bottle labels my husband has been collecting. I was struck by the beauty of each individual label. And although any of the labels could be a piece of art just as is, I wondered what else I could make with them. Perhaps they could be used for scrapbooking, collages, cards, bookmarks, or even gift tags. Below is a picture of bookmark I tested out with one of the labels.

To remove and preserve the labels, my husband uses a product called "Label Off". It looks much like contact paper and you place it on the label and then just pull the label off. However, there are other ways to remove labels. I found a good article on E How with a few different techniques that don't require you to go out and purchase anything.

Thank you for this! I just went on a day trip to some wineries and picked up a couple bottles of wine that I would love to preserve the labels from! Talk about timing!
