What's this? An actual craft on my site? You probably forgot what they look like here. I know I have. Well, I finally started getting back into creating craft tutorials. Today I'm making a basic origami ring out of metallic crepe paper. Directions below.
Supplies:
10cm piece of paper - I used metallic crepe paper
Scissors
Tape
Click on the image for a better view. Step 7 is the trickiest part of the ring. It's hard to show with the illustrations but you're basically creating a balloon base fold in steps 7 - 9.
Experiment with unique paper textures to get different looks.

those are amazing Jessica! I don't know how you've made these so small, dainty and perfect. So great! I'll have to try these with some thin junk mail. Do you think it would work?
Love these and the metallic paper!
Bellissimi questi anelli origami! La carta metallica sfumata che hai usato li fa sembrare quasi "veri". Mi verrebbe quasi voglia di provare a farli...grazie per le spiegazioni!
Musing! These are amazing! :D

They are stunnnnning! Waht a cool mini mini origami, I LOVE it!
These rings are really cute! My kids are stocking up their "pirate treasure" boxes, so I'll have to do a few of these for them.
LOVE, love these. Can't wait to try them...my daughter will fall over with delight if one of these was waiting for her after school!
Thanks for posting this fun tutorial, my four year old had fun (with my help) creating a wedding ring for her imaginary wedding lol
just curious where you found the metallic crepe paper. i'll share these with my origami club after-school. :)
I got the metallic crepe paper at a store called Castle in the Air.
