Washi Tape Label Maker

Have you seen this washi tape label maker?! I just discovered it and I love everything most things about it.  First the obvious, it can print on washi tape.  Two, it looks just like a little vintage suitcase. Cute. However, I don't care for the price ($100 on Etsy).  Also, you can only use the Coharu brand washi tape with it.  What do you think about it?  Would you buy one?  What would you use it for?

Examples of fonts and images it prints on the tape.

Laurinda,

I didn't even notice the spelling error.

Sigh - if only I have $100 for a complete splurge. It would be mine.

looking at the cute machine, I just want it, I'll figure out later what will I make with it (I think being cute is enough for the machine).
by the way, my favorite shop sell something similar but it prints on ribbon, not washi tape. not shaped like vintage suitcase but it produce cute things :)

So I'm a little late to this conversation, but has anyone figured out how to use other washi tape with it? If someone can "hack" it so I can use my supply of washi tape I would seriously consider dropping the money for this adorable machine!!

Heidi,

As far as I know, there's no way to use your own tape. If you did, you'd have to make sure it's the correct width and add some kind of backing to it like parchment paper. Hope this helps :)

best,
Jessica
