Chrismas Gift Wrap with Origami Details

 Origami Dove

Each year I like to choose a theme for my Christmas gift wrap.  This year I decided to incorporate origami pieces into the wrapping as a picture.  The gifts were wrapped with basic brown craft paper.  Once the gift was wrapped, I  drew directly onto the package with a white paint pen.  And for the final touch, I added an origami piece made from metallic paper.  The gifts came out fairly close to my vision.  If I had more time, I would have changed a few things but it is just wrapping after all.  I know this will all be ripped away in a matter of weeks so I can't be too picky.  Plus, I still have more gifts to wrap.

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse

I love your themed wrappings! The origami touch is perfect. I am giving your book to my daughter for Chrustmas. She just started origami club at school so it is perfect. Happy Advent!

Bravo!!! I love you creative ideas. I did this years ago with brown paper and fabric appliques. You are right...it all gets ripped off so it is not wise to put hours into each gift. I love the white origami idea. I may adapt it to greeting cards next year. I love your blog and wish you and your beautiful family a joyous Christmas.

Super cute and great idea! What white pen do you use?

Alvina,

I used an Elmer's Painters marker. If you're going to try this, make sure your paper is thick enough so the paint doesn't run through onto the actual package.
