Festive Funk Machine by Moo

http://uk.moo.com/merrymusic/
I know this is a silly time waster but I like it none-the-less.  Cute design gets me every time. The Moo site has created this interactive music generator called the Festive Funk Machine.  All you do is click on a robot and it starts singing or playing an instrument.  My kids and I had fun making different combinations of tunes. You might enjoy it too.  Click here, for some funky holiday music.

Itch A Skitch: My New Favorite Time Waster

Does this image look familiar to you?  It's called Itch A Skitch but it's basically the online version of an Etch A Sketch.  Just like the vintage toy, you move the knobs with the arrow keys to make a sketch.  When you want to make a new sketch, you just click on the "new skitch" button and it shakes your image away.  Click here to test it out and tell me what you think.

Did you ever have an Etch A Sketch?  What was the best thing you sketched on it?  I was never good at drawing  with it.  I always got frustrated that I couldn't make nice curved lines.

Wefreebies: Free Printables

Start your print engines and refuel your ink cartridges because I have a site for you.  Wefreebies catalogs all the best free printables from around the web.  The  printables are categorized by styles, activities, and holidays to help you find just what you're looking for.  I liked that I found a lot of unique printables I've never seen before. Pictured above and below are a couple paper projects that stood out to me.

Word Play

Just in case you haven't found enough ways to squander your time on the internet, I've found a site to help you out and it's called Tagxedo. Tagxedo helps you create word clouds from a URL, twitter feed, theme, etc. But what makes this word cloud site stand out is that you can make the words into any image you want. You can even change the font, font direction, color, and more. To test out the site I uploaded one of my profile pictures and created a word cloud based on the Zakka Life URL. It was fairly easy to make and fun to do. Check it out and tell me what you think.

The Color Of. . .

I recently discovered the site The Color Of via Sweet Tidings and had to share. The site's purpose is to answer what the color of something is an objective way. You just type in a word and The Color Of will pull images from Flickr and layer them into a textured color. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Zakka Life has moved to a new site!
